100 Level Course
(4 weeks)
You will receive an overview of hoof anatomy and basic hoof trimming and shoeing techniques to keep horses sound and comfortable. You will trim and shoe on live horse hooves during everyday of this course. You will also start on a few forging projects (see syllabus page). The goal of the 100 level course material is to give you foundation knowledge to continue your education in the 200 level course.
